Western Visayas Transport Cooperative Holds Successful General Assembly
The Western Visayas Transport Cooperative (WVTC) successfully conducted its General Assembly on April 09, 2026, at the Hacienda Verde Function Hall. The event gathered members, officers, and stakeholders from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a productive and engaging session focused on transparency, governance, and future direction.
A key highlight of the assembly was the presentation of reports from the management team and various committees. These reports provided members with a comprehensive overview of the cooperativeโs operational performance, financial standing, and ongoing initiatives. The discussions reflected the cooperativeโs continued commitment to accountability and informed decision-making.
The General Assembly also served as the venue for the election of officers, reinforcing the cooperativeโs democratic principles. Members actively participated in selecting leaders who will guide the organization in the coming term, ensuring that leadership remains representative and responsive to the needs of the cooperative.
In addition, proposed amendments to the cooperativeโs By-laws were presented to the body. These amendments aim to strengthen governance structures and improve operational efficiency. While the proposals were discussed during the assembly, final approval is scheduled to take place during the upcoming Ownership Meeting on June 12, 2026. As of this writing, members are awaiting further updates regarding the finalization of these amendments.
Overall, the General Assembly was a significant milestone for WVTC, demonstrating unity, active participation, and a shared commitment to the cooperativeโs growth and sustainability.
